In combination with the sale of batteries or rechargeable batteries or with the delivery of equipment containing batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are obliged to draw your attention to the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste!
As a final consumer, you are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries properly. You can return old batteries or rechargeable batteries free of charge after use in your immediate vicinity (e.g. at municipal collection points or in shops).
Batteries or rechargeable batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out waste bin. This means that they must not be disposed of with household waste. The chemical name of the pollutant is located next to the dustbin symbol, in case certain limit values are exceeded:
- "Cd“ stands for: contains more than 0.002 percent of cadmium by weight
- "Pb“ stands for: contains more than 0.004 percent of lead by weight
- "Hg“ stands for: contains more than 0.0005 percent of mercury by weight
You can also return used batteries, rechargeable batteries or appliances with rechargeable batteries sufficiently stamped to us by post. If possible, please use the original packaging to return the product. If the original packaging is damaged, please use a new package. Take particular care to ensure that the packaging is firm and stable and that the product cannot move back and forth. The inner packaging must completely enclose the batteries. It must also be ensured that the device cannot be accidentally switched on during transport and that the batteries are protected against short circuits. It is best to use the filling material, which may be included in the original shipment, to fill in the free spaces.
It is important that you mark your shipping box with a special sticker. The sticker provides information about the content. The sticker must be placed on the outside of the shipping box, at least 120 mm wide and in colour (print the picture in original size).
